time MBA for working executives with focus on Technology

Eligibility
:
Candidates
with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or
equivalent, or a Master’s degree in any discipline
from a recognised Institute/University are eligible to
appear for the JMET examination. Criteria for
admission to the individual Institutes are given below:

IISc
Bangalore: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in any
branch of Engineering with at least Second Class.

IIT
Bombay: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in
Engineering with First Class or Postgraduate degree
in Science with First Class.

IIT
Delhi: 60% marks in aggregate of all the
years/semesters (55% for SC/ST) or 6.75/10 CGPA
(6.25 /10 for SC/ST) in Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Pharmacy/
Agriculture Engg. or Master’s degree in Commerce,
Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics,
Statistics, Computer Applications, Electronic
Science, Environmental Science, Operations Research,
Computational/Information Science, Agriculture for
the 2-year full time MBA programme. Additionally
at least two years of relevant work experience by 1st
August 2005 is required for 3-year part time MBA
programme for working executives.

Kanpur: B.E./B.Tech. in any branch of
Engineering with 60% marks in aggregate.

Kharagpur:IIT Kharagpur: MBM- First Class
Bachelor’s degree in any branch of
Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in
Science (with Mathematics or Statistics at
Bachelor’s level) or First Class in Master’s
degree in Economics/Commerce (with Mathematics or
Statistics at Bachelor’s level); PGDBM- B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./MCA
(3 years)/M.Com. or equivalent degree with a minimum
of 60% marks or equivalent CGPA, and a minimum of
two years of relevant work experience up to 1 August
2005. Candidates working/residing in any city where
the programme is offered are eligible for
consideration of admission in that city only.

Madras: B.E./B.Tech.with First Class or
equivalent from a recognized Institution or
University. A Master’s degree with First
Class or equivalent in any discipline from a
recognized Institution or University.

Roorkee:Bachelor’s degree in any discipline of
Engineering / Technology or its equivalent or a
Master's’ degree in any discipline, from a
recognised Institute/University with atleast 60%
marks (55% marks for SC/ST) in aggregate or CGPA of
6.75/10 (6.25/10 for SC/ST).

Note:
Candidates appearing for final examinations for the
qualifying degree can also apply. However, they have to
complete all requirements for the qualifying degree and
produce a provisional certificate before a date
specified by the admitting institute.

Reservation:15%
seats for SC, 7.5% seats for ST and 3% for Physically
handicapped (PH) candidates are reserved as per the
Government of India Rules.

Brochure and Application Forms::
JMET
Application Forms may be submitted either ONLINE
(Internet based) or OFFLINE (by POST/in person).
Information about the eligibility, programmes, test
centres, test structure etc is available at the websites
of IISc and all IITs.
ONLINE
submission can be made by accessing the website http://jmet.iitd.ac.in
either directly or through the websites of IITs/IISc.
Candidates are advised to apply online for obtaining
error-free processing and faster response on application
status. The on-line application processing fee is
Rs.700/- (Rs. 300/- for SC/ST categories). The details
of mode of payment are indicated on the websites. For
sending the application by post (OFFLINE submission),
Brochure and Application Form can be obtained in
person/by post from the GATE office of the zone in which
the test center, selected by the candidate, is located.
The request, accompanied by two self-addressed slips and
a demand draft for Rs.800/- (Rs.400/- for SC/ST
categories) drawn in favour of the Institute concerned,
