Nirma
Institute of Management is considered as a center of
excellence for executive education. Executive Education
Programmes enjoy great importance in the NIM's portfolio of
activities. The Institute regularly offers these programmes
in the different areas of management. Last year the
institute offered more than a dozen of such programmes, and
a couple of workshops, all of which were well subscribed by
the corporates. Every year over 200 senior and middle
managers attend our Executive Education Programmes.
The NIM's Executive Education Programmes focus on:
* Global management theories and models with local
focus.
* Providing state-of-the-art knowledge about best practices.
* Collaborative learning where participants learn from one
another.
* Helping participants translate their learnings into
action.
Executive Education Programmes are held at the Executive
Education Centre, known as Transformation, of the NIM, which
has world-class infrastructure, consisting of two modern
classrooms with latest audio-visual facilities, a computer
center, a library resource center, an auditorium, and an art
gallery.
Experienced professors, who are seriously engaged in
research and familiar with corporate realities, lead the
executive education programmes. We also invite experts and
practitioners from the corporate world to share their
experiences with the participants. Successful application of
the most up-to-date management knowledge can only take place
once a manager understands the "unwritten rules of the
game". Using case studies as a basis along with
simulation games and role-plays, the coaches here at the NIM
describe what actually works or doesn't work in practice and
which distinctive features need to be considered while
implementing up-to-date concepts and tools.
