three years Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline
recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as eligible
for Post-Graduate studies in Management.

ADMISSION
PROCEDURE

Step
1:

Register
for XAT at: http://www.xlri.edu/xat
and pay for XAT. Please remember to select XIMB in
"Institutes that you are applying to" under
"Other Details" in the XAT form.
|

Step
2:
|
To
apply for admission to XIMB’s PGP in Business Management,
first enter your XAT ID and XAT password by clicking on Application
in the menu on the page: http://ximb.blueshift.com/ximb2005/pgdbm/index1.htm.
After you are authenticated, you need to enter your data in
the Online Application Form and then save the application.

Step
3:
|
Take
a print out of the payment advice
by clicking on "print payment advice" in the My Form
Summary Page.
|
|
Step
4:
|

Get a demand draft for Rs.800/- in favour of "Xavier Institute of Management" drawn on
State Bank of India, RRL Branch (Code:7499), Bhubaneswar or any other bank payable at Bhubaneswar. Please mention your XAT ID and your name on the reverse of the DD.

Local applicants may pay cash across the XIMB counter along with the payment advice.

5:

Send
the payment advice along with the DD to:

On
receipt of payment, XIMB admissions office will authenticate
the payment and will send you an email to confirm payment and
acceptance of your online application. Subsequently, the
information Bulletin-2005 will be mailed to you to the present
address given in the online form.
Selection Process: Candidates short-listed on the basis
of XAT scores will be called for Group Discussion and Personal
Interview, which will be held at Bangalore, Bhubaneswar,
Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Candidates
will have to meet their own travel expenses. The final
selection will be based on the candidate's performance in the
XAT, Group Discussion and Personal Interview, and will take
into account the past academic record and relevant work
experience.

2005 – 2007
ELIGIBILITY

for Post-Graduate studies in Rural Management with at least 50%
marks in aggregate.

year degree students, who expect to complete their final
examinations and other requirements for obtaining the degree by
June 15, 2005, may also apply.

Step
1:

Register
for IRMA Test:
Apply for the written test to be conducted by Institute of
Rural Management, Anand, at various centres all over India in
December, 2004, in response to their advertisement in
newspapers in September. Registering for IRMA test is a
prerequisite for applying to XIMB’s PGPRM course.
The IRMA application can be downloaded from the IRMA
website www.irma.ac.in.

Application:
Apply
online for the XIMB's PGPRM course at the page http://ximb.blueshift.com/ximb2005/index2.htm.
Upon
successfully filling the online application form the payment
advice will appear on the screen. The applicant must take a
printout of the same. This payment advice has to
be mailed to the Admissions Office, Xavier Institute of
Management, Bhubaneswar-751013, accompanied by a
non-refundable Demand Draft for Rs.500/-, made out in
favour of Xavier Institute of Management and drawn on State Bank of India, RRL
Branch (Code:7499), Bhubaneswar. DDs drawn on other banks
and payable at Bhubaneswar will also be accepted. On receipt
of the DD (or cash across the XIMB counter) for the required
amount and the payment advice (with photograph &
signature), the Bulletin 2005 will be mailed to the applicant.
The acceptance of XIMB application will be subject to the
receipt of the payment and payment advice by XIMB.

An
applicant has to fulfill both steps 1 and 2 listed
above, i.e., besides registering for IRMA Test before November
1, one has to also register online one XIMB application and
pay for the same.

Selection
Process
Candidates

ELIGIBILITY

Minimum
three year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any
discipline, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities
as eligible for Post-Graduate studies in Management;

At
least 3 years of experience in executive capacity in an
organization of repute in the public, private or non-governmental
sector. Self-employed persons should have minimum 5 years
experience after obtaining qualifying degree;
Age
limit : Between 24 and 45 years as on 01.07.2005; and
No
Objection or sponsorship certificate from the employer.

Programme
Design
This
three-year part-time programme is designed for executives,
working anywhere in the country. The curriculum is similar to
our two-year full-time PGP in Business Management. The
participants will reside in the campus for 15 days at a time,
thrice a year. In the intervening period, they are expected to
complete the assigned readings and projects.

Doctoral-Level
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
ELIGIBILITY
Postgraduates
in any discipline with at least 55% marks,
or those who possess professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech,
CA, CS, CWA, MBA/PGDM, MCA, MFC, etc., with at least 55% marks are
eligible to write the XIMB Research Aptitude Test. In case, the
score is available on a letter-grade system, we will expect a
minimum cumulative score of 4.40 on an 8-point scale (or 5.50 on a
10-point scale).

Selection
Process
All
applicants have to appear for the XIMB Research Aptitude
Test to be conducted by XIMB at 3:00 p.m. on 8 January 2005,
proposed to be conducted at the following centres:
Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi. Some
centres may be dropped due to inadequate number of
applicants.

The Admit Cards for the test will be mailed to the eligible
applicants by the last week of December.
Based
on their performance in this test as well as their academic
and professional achievements, a small number of candidates
will be invited for a seminar and a personal interview at
Bhubaneswar. All the invited candidates will be offered
local hospitality in our campus. They will be reimbursed 2AC
railway fare through the shortest route, on production of
the railway tickets.
