The Marketing Impact Awards 2003-2004

The Marketing Club of the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research is launching “The Marketing Impact Awards 2003-2004” which will showcase the effectiveness of marketing success stories in India. This event aims to provide a platform for proving that marketing works and that its effectiveness can be demonstrated.

To participate in this competition, teams will need to write a paper on any marketing initiative or strategy that solved a business problem or successfully tapped a market opportunity, and thus positively impacted their organization’s long-term growth and health. The paper should provide a background about the organization, the problem and opportunity in consideration, the marketing initiative and its rationale, followed by a description of the implementation process. Most importantly, it should give measurable results and an analysis of the impact made by the marketing initiative over and above other influencing factors. The analysis should preferably provide a before and after comparison.

This competition is open to teams from business, government and non-government organizations. The number of members in each team should not be more than 3 and there is no restriction to the number of teams from any organization. The last date for sending the papers is 20th December 2003.The final presentations of the shortlisted papers are scheduled for 7th February 2004 at the SPJIMR Auditorium. The team selected by the Jury will be awarded the “SPJIMR Marketing Impact Trophy” and a cash prize of Rs 51,000/-.

The participants are required to submit one soft copy of the paper to sbu-mktg@spjimr.ernet.in and 2 hardcopies to the address given below.
