The SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS) was established in 1995 with the primary objective of providing quality management education to budding professionals. SIESCOMS has been promoted by South Indian Education Society (SIES) that is well-known in the city of Mumbai as one of the premier groups committed to providing value-based education through a number of educational institutes since as early as 1932. The core set of values believed by the College is those of truly Indian tradition of character building and value-based education. The mission statement "quality in all respects" identifies the intrinsic focus on the processes and their righteousness on whatever the College endeavours. Located in a sprawling campus at Nerul, Navi Mumbai, the institute boasts of having one of the best academic ambience and physical infrastructure befitting a modern B-School. SIESCOMS provides four flagship courses:

• Master of Management Studies (MMS): a two-year full-time course affiliated to Mumbai University

• Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (PGDBA): a two-year full-time autonomous course with dual specialization and most contemporary and innovative curriculum

• Post-Graduate Diploma in Pharmaceutical Management (PGDPM): a two-year full-time autonomous course creating managers exclusively for pharmaceutical industry

• Master of Computer Application (MCA): a three-year full-time technology focussed course affiliated to Mumbai University

In addition the institute is involved in a large number of management development programs (both open and company specific) as well as consulting activities. The plans in future include commencing a course exclusively targeted as social entrepreneurs and executive MBA for working professionals.

Though a relatively newcomer in the field of management education, SIESCOMS has come a long way and considered to be one of the most progressive B-schools in the country. In both the rating exercises conducted in recent times (Outlook: September 2002 & Business India: October 2002), SIESCOMS has featured among top 50 B-schools in the country, a remarkable achievement considering the life-span of the institute. SIESCOMS is also the fist business school in the Western India to get ISO-9002 Certificate in recognition of its quality management education.
