Welingkar Institute of Management is one of the leading providers of management education in India, having over 7, 500 students studying a comprehensive range of management related courses like, PGDBA, PGPeBiz, Professional Program in Retailing, International MBA, World Class Management Program etc. We are a part of the 120 year old charitable trust Shiskshana Prasad Mandali, Pune, headed by the Former Chief Justice of India, Hon. Justice Y V Chandrachud.

Welingkar made its beginnings in 1977 with the dream to provide quality management education to help transit students and mould them into tomorrow’s leaders. We have been regularly acclaimed as the fastest growing Management Institute in India, based on our formidable reputation earned for our pragmatic approach to management education.

We have 36 core faculties with strong academic backgrounds and versatile corporate experience. An extensive visiting faculty if leading practicing managers in reputed companies brings the practical angle to management principles.

Today we are ranked 8^th in the South Asia by “Asia Inc”, a leading Singapore based business new and view magazine and 16^th in India by Outlook in their “Top B Schools in India”  survey 2003. We are also the first A grade management institute to have obtained “ISO 9002:1994 chapter”, certified by BVQI. We were later upgraded to “ISO 9001:2000”, in 2002. Welingkar is also one of the few B-Schools in India to be accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Our infrastructure is at par with some of the best B – schools in the world. Our infrastructure boasts of a fiber optic backbone, air conditioned plug – n – play classrooms, internet connectivity with 2 mbps bandwidth. Our air conditioned library is well equipped with books on management, in addition to CD ROMS, videos, varied magazines, news papers, periodicals and online databases like EBSCO, Prowess, Capital Online. The institute also has a full fledged Gymnasium, Recreation Center, Yoga Hall to rejuvenate your mind and body, Amphitheater and state – of – the – art Auditoriums. Hostel facilities are available for men and women.
